For those having the problem configuring Hammer for the first time use my solution to configure automatically:
1.-launch source sdk, let it copy files and await for furthur options
2.-launch Hammer, it will ask you if you need online help for configuring hammer, click Cancel
3.-click on the "Reset Game Configurations" option and close out of Source SDK
4.-launch CS:S, HL:2, or any other Source engine game and let it load
5.-once it loads, close it and re-launch Source SDK
6.-once SDK loads, once again click on the "Reset Game Configurations" option and choose your game
7.-launch Hammer and have fun mapping :P
8.-any furthur info needed or troubleshooting, post a thread, I will get back to it, or another friend will.

i can't get it to work for counter strike source, gone though the manual configs too got em all set up right and it crashed when i try to make a box or anything.

hi i found a link to this page in another forum and i am completely confused on how to use hammer. like i dont know how to make walls or boxes or anything. help me?

Yeah, i did all that with CSS and it still said the same thing ....... No Configurations to work with. So, I need A LOT of help this is new to me and i want to make a good map or a couple to get used to all this. |

hey can someone help me, somehow i managed to change my top view into another camera view and i cant figure out how to change it back.

ok, can you reconfigure hammer? cuz i think i may have done somethin wrong when i configured on my own, cuz 1. the link on video didnt take me to correct page to see your other pre posted page, and 2. the website was not working.

 I Still dont get it. when i open up source sdk, all it tells me is options,video street test and exit. thats all. can some plz help me. Thank You
