Hi there,
my decals are not working, for example bomb spot "A". I can see & place it in the editor, but when I run the Map it will not appear. I was trying different maps, but the problem is always there
Any Idea?

ok well the gods were merciful (sorta). I did get the video to upload and process, but the audio is kinda messed up, but you can understand what i am saying, and plus the video has a huge watermark on it, I used a different program to record, so... I guess I will have to stick to Hypercam for now on (the program i used to record this is called CamStudio, it looked good when i recorded, just when i uploaded >.>) but have fun, and sorry about the video I hope it helps: video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4021026765439049522Duck

Im from germany.
Here is the result of my try:
I selected the Decals tool. Clicked on the Texture Browser. Entered in the Filter: decals Selected decals/decal_birdpoop01 Clicked on the ground. The decal appears perfectly. Fixed the position to the grid(grid set to 16) Hit ALT+P and fixed all. Compiled the map. Startet game + map
And the decal is not shown up in the map :/
Did I miss something in the Video?

no you did everything right as far i am concern, i will try to find out what the problem is, once i find out (this might take a couple of days) and i will reply to this thread ASAP. but you might want to reconsider this, is your map encolsed? if not your entities will leak and the decals wont work, that is one reason that they might not work correctly. to find out if you are leaking in your map simply go to the toolbar, that has tools such as: File, Edit, Map, View etc, click on Map then Load pointfile, if it loads a pointfile (.lin format) then your map is leaking, to find where the leak is, its usually showed up in a red line, from the entity that leaked and where it is leaking to, but if you cant open or find a pointfile then your map isnt leaking. and usually when you compile your map, it will say: "***LEAKED***" or something out of the ordinary, like your map cannot run the vvis.exe, or the vrad.exe program, then you either have too many primitives that are small or you are leaking out from the map. and one more thing, the source sdk forums are a great help if i cant find out what to do ^_^!! if you want to check out the forums this is the link: www.chatbear.com/board.plm?a=boardlisting&b=390&v=flatold&s=0Duck
