I cant seem to see anything in the camera view. Any ideas why?

I'm having the same problem you were, except I can't seem to resolve mine. No matter what I do or press in the camera view window, it just remains black. Any help, please?

seems like everyone is having the same problem, i do also. this is what i do: i create an entity, any is fine, and then in the tool bar: go to Map/Entity Report/the entity that was used and click on "go to" and the camera view takes you to the entity, now you can create things and see them, i believe when hammer starts up, the camera view is located not where its supposed to be

can i upload picture
it about in camera view when i place a object and zoom out
there will be a orange box over the building.
is there a way to view the building if i zoom out.

When you open hammer, look to the top left, you'll see File, Edit, etc. Click on View, go to Center 3-D views on selection, this brings you to the center of origin.
