I have been looking into modding and such, but reading your tutorials i have a question, Is the sdk supposed to do anything when i launch it, because when i launch it nothing happens, and if it is not supposed to do anything i need extra help setting up hammer.

I had the same problem, this is what I did to fix it. Go into Steam-Tools-right click SDK-go to properties- and on the first tab you got 2 buttons to click either, creat a shortcut on the desktop which we dont want to.. So click the one over that and when that window comes up write -engine ep1 . That solved my problem hope it helps!
