OK, Im not sure if this is possible in hammer but id like to make available only three certain weapons per team on the buy menu (with all the others inactive) and both teams to begin with kevlar and helmet, and the weapons to have 500 rounds at the beginning of each round. Any idea how to do this because im stumped.

No, I don't think that is an option in Hammer - I'm not 100% though.

there is a way to only make a player use certain weapons, the entity is called: game_player_equip I am still learning on it tho, I have a friend who knows what to do, I will ask him once he comes online, and reply here, he went to chicago and was supposed to be back today but he never came online, I am guessing unpacking becomes busy at times, especially with him =D
But if you can find more info on how to work the game_player_equip yourself that would be useful. There is a way to make the player have 500 ammo if you purchase the gun, its an obsolete entity (obsolete means custom) and I seen it done in surf maps, surf_rebel_resistance is one. I will look into it and tell you what I find.

Great, I appreciate your help a lot :DD yes, id really like to know  I did try the player equip but it equips one weapon type for both CT and T. i.e. one pistol one assault etc. Just for your info, what i had in mind was to have: CT & T = kevlar and helmet CT = famas, aug and m4a1 only T = galil, ak, and sig 552 only. no pistols mg or anything else. and any chosen in these available in the buy-menu will have say 500 ammo tx T |

ah your getting me here =P My friend I still need to ask him about to make the player equip work and to give extra ammo, that would come a little harder, thus making a obsolete entity for that matter

Ha it's ok, thats why were here for is to learn how to do this stuff. Most of it is very possible, you just gotta know how to do it.
